Hospice Volunteer Training

Orientation Sessions & Times

Samaritan holds orientation sessions to provide an overview of the hospice philosophy and detailed information about volunteer opportunities at Samaritan.

Registration is required at least two weeks before orientation session.

Here are upcoming dates and times:

  • For May through October: Third Week of the Month
  • For November – December: Second Week of the Month
  • Daytime Session will be in person on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Evening Session will be virtual on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Registration is required two weeks before orientation session.

You must be at least 18 years of age to visit patients and families. All those interested in volunteering for Samaritan must wait at least one year after experiencing a significant loss of a family member or close friend before attending our training sessions.

Samaritan’s service area includes Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Mercer, and Atlantic counties.
