Samaritan Announces 2021 Virtual Gala Details

Samaritan’s Staff to be Honored, Named Recipients of the Circle of Excellence Award for Quality, Compassionate Care During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Marlton, NJSamaritan announced it will hold its annual Celebration of Life Gala, presented by Holman Enterprises, virtually in 2021 on Saturday, February 6 at 7 p.m. The Gala, entitled Be A Samaritan: Celebration of Life, will celebrate the dedicated work and success of the special people who comprise the Samaritan team, particularly honoring their efforts during the coronavirus pandemic.

In 1980, Samaritan’s visionary founders imagined better care for people living with serious illness. Today, Samaritan lovingly provides quality, compassionate care through a growing family of services for more than 11,500 families throughout Atlantic, Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer counties each year.

“In 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Samaritan never once ceased to provide professional care, services, and support to those in need,” said Mary Ann Boccolini, president and CEO of Samaritan. “Our 2021 Gala will certainly be unique, as we invite everyone to join us from the comfort of their own homes. This year, we are taking our Gala virtual – just another fine example of our organization’s amazing ability to adapt creatively during this year of constant uncertainty and change!”

During the 2021 virtual Gala, Samaritan will name all members of the Samaritan staff as their 2021 Circle of Excellence award recipients. Each year, Samaritan’s Circle of Excellence award honors individuals who are passionate and dedicated in their service to Samaritan as an organization, as well as the greater community.

“Our staff are at the heart of our organization, our very own healthcare heroes,” continued Boccolini. “There are no other individuals more worthy of this award than our team of professionals, who have tirelessly provided compassionate care to all of our patients and their families during these difficult times. I am thrilled that we will be able to come together virtually to recognize their extraordinary service to our organization and the exemplary professionalism they exhibit on a daily basis to all those we serve.”

To further support the Gala’s fundraising efforts, Samaritan will once again hold their Delightful Dining Raffle. Two raffle winners will be announced during the event – at $10 per ticket, this unique raffle offers the chance to win twelve $100 dining gift certificates (valued at a total of $1,200) to some of the area’s finest restaurants. Additionally, Samaritan will once again offer an Online Auction of unique items, all in support of the organization’s services and programming. Tickets for the raffle and access to the online auction are available at www.SamaritanNJ.org/Gala. (NOTE: Online auction will not open for bidding until 2/1/21).

Individual tickets for the virtual Gala are $225 each. All proceeds from the evening will benefit Samaritan patients and their families.
