Marlton, N.J. – Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice honored volunteer Rosalie Mittelman of Mt. Laurel for 25 years of dedicated service to the not-for-profit organization at this year’s Winterfest celebration – an annual event recognizing employees and volunteers for their service milestones and continued dedication to Samaritan’s mission.

“Since she first began volunteering for the organization in 1995, Rosalie has logged 3,500 volunteer service hours at Samaritan, primarily for the Center for Grief Support,” said Mary Ann Boccolini, president and CEO of Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice. “Dealing with loss is never easy – but Rosalie’s compassionate, caring nature shines through in all of her volunteer work for the Center for Grief Support.”
Among her many roles and responsibilities over the past 25 years, Rosalie coordinated other Samaritan volunteers who make bereavement phone calls to those experiencing loss. Additionally, she took on the arduous task of compiling all of the information that is reported from those calls and subsequent forms. Currently, Rosalie has become a bereavement caller herself – reaching out to families and individuals after they experienced the loss of a loved one and making sure that they receive the counseling or are paired with a support group.
“These calls are vitally important and our way of checking in on families and individuals after their loved one has passed to ensure they are receiving the exact kind of support they need,” continued Boccolini. “Rosalie has proven to be perfect for this role, ensuring that no individual or family goes through the loss of a loved one alone. We are deeply grateful for her dedicated service to Samaritan these past 25 years.”
