Supporting The Mary Ann Boccolini Institute

“When love meets suffering, it manifests itself as compassion and empathy.  When love meets suffering, it manifests itself as Samaritan.” – Mary Ann Boccolini

After a quarter-century of servant leadership, Samaritan’s President and CEO, Mary Ann Boccolini retired at the end of 2022.  Mary Ann’s tenure will be remembered for many impactful milestones; including the establishment of Palliative Partners, Home Visit Physicians, and the Samaritan Center at Voorhees.  To mark this auspicious occasion, and to leave a lasting legacy to Mary Ann’s lifelong passion to advance hospice and palliative care, Samaritan’s Board of Trustees has renamed The Mary Ann Boccolini Institute for Education, Research, and Innovation.

The Mary Ann Boccolini Institute for Education, Research, and Innovation will lead the advancement of person-centered care along the health care continuum; through such potential new and ongoing programs as our fellowship in palliative medicine at Rowan University, nursing scholarships, community outreach and continuing education, and the pursuit of innovative advancements in hospice and palliative care.  The work of the institute will remain aligned with Samaritan’s charitable mission, and devoted to Mary Ann’s devotion to putting love into the world.

We  invite you to join Samaritan’s Board of Trustees, by making a personal gift towards The Institute.  Your generous support will ensure the sustaining advancement of the important work of The Institute, and increased access to life-enhancing care.  Thank you.
